Currently, Metrosol has the following positions open:
Director of Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Develops and directs future applications of technology to maintain the department to the current standards for engineering
- Leads the Value Engineering activity to reduce manufacturing costs and improve manufacturing processes
- Supervises employees. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees; directing work; reviewing work and resolving problems.
- Reviews and implements ECNs as appropriate and documentation for release/reviews
- Troubleshoots production problems and reports any process or equipment problems to VP of Engineering
- Work with R&D engineering to ensure smooth transition of new products into production release
Qualifications:
- Education - BS/BA degree required; Masters level of education is preferred
- Ten (10) years related experience, four (4) which should have supervisory experience
- Excellent knowledge of capital equipment production processes and products; preferably in semiconductors, medical or aerospace
- Knowledge of Quality Management Tools and Standards
- Knowledge of and familiar with using Project Management Tools and Techniques
Product Marketing Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develops marketing plans and activities for specific products to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena
- Develops business plans and product positioning including evaluation of target markets, segmentation studies and timing analysis
- Conducts market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs
- Establishes pricing strategies
- Actively drive/guide cross-functional teams to develop new products or enhance existing products
- Manage the Product Lifecycle process from concept to end-of-life
- Work with MarCom to launch and promote products through conferences, customer meetings, trade press and website
- Requires domestic and international travel
Qualifications:
- Previous product or technical marketing experience in semiconductor capital equipment industry, preferably in metrology segment
- Significant experience with Fab customers in Asia
- Experience with product marketing and market segmentation, including market penetration decisions, pricing and product differentiation in a multiple market segment company
- Knowledge of product demonstrations and sales techniques
- Demonstrated success introducing new products to marketplace
- Successful record of profitable growth of existing businesses
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven presentation and excellent customer-interfacing skills
- BS/MS in business/technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge) and 8-10 years directly related experience (semiconductor or data storage capital equipment industries)
Applications Engineer - Japan
Responsibilities:
- Provide application support to customers via training, recipe and optical model development assistance and resolution of customer application issues
- Develop and deliver custom product training at either customer site(s) and/or at Metrosol facility
- Communicate with sales and marketing and will create and maintain long term customer relationships
- Develop professional relationships with assigned customers, determine relative levels of service and satisfaction, and communicate to the field team
- Follow standard engineering practices and procedures
- Analyze data and implement Best Known Method solutions according to industry standards
- Develop and deliver standard system level training classes.
Qualifications:
- Must have hands on experience with thin film metrology tools in semiconductor manufacturing/capital equipment or storage media manufacturing environment and thin film deposition technology like CVD, PVD, ALD
- Adept at troubleshooting system issues and experienced at recipe qualification
- Three to five years experience in the semiconductor industry required
- Requires working knowledge of semiconductor processing and manufacturing protocols
- Extensive travel, over 70%. Must have a valid passport
- Candidates should have excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and should be fluent in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
- Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering or equivalent experience required.
Applications Engineer - US (Albany, NY)
Responsibilities:
